U.S. Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade ruling on abortion rights

US Supreme Court has revoked the landmark decision “Roe V. Wade”, and decided that women have no right to abortion. Almost half the states are expected to outlaw or severely restrict abortion as a result of the Supreme Court’s decision.

“The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision, including the one on which the defenders of Roe and Casey now chiefly rely — the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote.

‘Roe v. Wade’ was a landmark decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in which the Court ruled that the Constitution of the United States generally protects a pregnant woman’s liberty to choose to have an abortion.
