FIFA Opens Disciplinary Case Over Anti-Muslim Chants at Spain Match
—————————–
FIFA has launched disciplinary proceedings against the Spanish Football Federation following anti-Muslim chants by fans during an international friendly between Spain and Egypt, Al Jazeera reported.

The incident occurred on March 31 at RCDE Stadium in Barcelona, where a section of supporters reportedly chanted offensive slogans targeting Muslims. FIFA confirmed on April 7 that it had opened an investigation into the matter.

The Spanish Football Federation also denounced the incident. The case adds to a series of discrimination-related controversies in Spanish football in recent years, prompting renewed calls for stronger action against racism and intolerance in the sport.
