USA: Over 10,000 Muslims celebrate Eid al-Adha in North Carolina

More than 10,000 Muslims gathered in Raleigh, North Carolina, to mark Eid al-Adha in one of the state’s largest Islamic festivals. Organized by the Islamic Association of Raleigh, the celebration took place at the Jim Graham Building on the State Fairgrounds and featured cultural, recreational, and commercial activities.

The event brought together a diverse Muslim community and welcomed members of the broader public in a spirit of unity, inclusion, and religious harmony. Organizers highlighted the festival as an opportunity to promote understanding and showcase Islam as a religion of peace and coexistence.

The celebration emphasized the core values of Eid al-Adha—sacrifice, compassion, and community—while reflecting the growing visibility of Muslim Americans in public life. The Islamic Association called the festival a living example of cultural integration and a bridge for dialogue in an increasingly diverse society.
