First Quranic Festival Held in Al Hoceima, Morocco

For the first time, the city of Al Hoceima in Morocco hosted a Quranic festival, organized in collaboration with the local Scientific Council and the Regional Department of Islamic Affairs, Morocco World News reported.
This multi-day event featured various activities designed to connect the Quran with the community. These included calligraphy workshops, a street caravan centered on the Quran, religious exhibitions, and a ceremony honoring Hafiz, or memorizers of the Quran.
During the festival, copies of the Holy Quran were distributed to Moroccan immigrants. Additionally, an elderly woman who participated in Quranic literacy programs was specially honored. Local officials stated that the main objective of the festival was to strengthen the bond between the younger generation and society with religious values.
