The United Nations has warned of increased child labor due to the Corona global pandemic crisis.
According to the United Nations International Labor Organization, the phenomenon of economic exploitation of children is exacerbating for the first time in two decades after the pandemic left millions of young people vulnerable to exploitation in the labor market.
The organization warned that the economic burden on families who do not find financial support will compel them to choose the path of asylum for child labor and push their children to help with living costs.
The number of children in the labor market decreased from 246 million in 2000 to 152 million children.
