Jordanian endowments to withdraw the al-Tahajjud Quran with omitted word

The Jordanian Ministry of Endowments, Affairs and Islamic Holy Sites circulated to all imams and muezzins to withdraw all copies of the al-Tahajjud Quran (size 14/20), which do not bear the name of a publishing house, the date of the edition, or its number, and deliver them to the endowment directorates.

The ministry added in its circular, that the word “Say” from chapter 2 verse 260 was omitted. 

It pointed out that this copy entered Jordan with one of the pilgrims without referring to the Directorate of Holy Qur’an Affairs in the ministry, and it was not previously checked in the Kingdom and carries an incorrect license number attributed to the ministry.
