The heads of religious centers and institutions across Germany called on believers to avoid places of worship and perform prayers at home.

The heads of religious centers and institutions in Germany submitted this after a request from the central government.

These measures come after the spread of coronavirus in the country, which led to the closure of schools, churches and mosques, and the cessation of all cultural and sports activities.

In a public statement, the Central Council of Muslims in Germany asked all Muslim doctors, retired nurses, and Muslim medical students to support hospitals in Germany to cope with the outbreak of the virus.

The head of the Central Council of Muslims in Germany, Ayman Mazik, said, “The medical sector in Germany is in urgent need of volunteers in this field, and therefore we are asking all Muslims who specialize in medicine to support society and the government in this crisis.”
