The Iraqi Rapid Response Division launched a military operation behind Mount Al-Touz in Salah Al-Din province towards Sulaymaniyah to search for terrorist groups.

A source in the division’s leadership said that the Rapid Response launched a qualitative military operation today to hunt down the remnants of ISIS near the border with the Sulaymaniyah province.

It added that the operation launched aims to pursue all terrorist cells between the Kurdistan region and the provinces of Salah al-Din and Kirkuk.

Mount al-Touz and the adjacent areas are considered one of the most prominent areas of influence of separatist groups.
