China’s health authorities have announced the recovery of 49,856 people infected with coronavirus and discharged from hospitals.

It pointed out that a total of 80,070 confirmed cases of Covid-19 had been reported on the Chinese mainland, while 2,981 people had died of the disease.

The World Health Organization has declared that the threat of coronavirus transmission and infection into a pandemic has been ruled out.

They are working to develop a number of vaccines to counter the threat of corona, said WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom.
