Arbaeen of Imam Hussein unites Shias of Ahlulbayt worldwide, international website writes

The London-based ‘Middle East Eye’ news website said that the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) united the common identity of Shia Muslims in Iraq and the world, specifically the Shias residing in Britain.

The website added that “dozens of British Shias traveled this year to Iraq to commemorate the Arbaeen Pilgrimage, where they joined millions of pilgrims in their march towards holy Karbala.”

It added that “the British Shias were keen to attend this year in Iraq despite the political turmoil in the country. They confirm that they came with a great purpose, which is to visit the pure shrines of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them).”

The report also included a British pilgrim of Indian origin called (Mohsen) saying: “He revived the Arbaeen visitation earlier in (2007), and despite miraculously surviving an explosion carried out by terrorists at the time, it did not prevent him from returning again to revive the blessed Pilgrimage in Holy Karbala”.

While Mr. Romana, one of the employees of the UK branch of Tourist Guides, said: “The British Shias did not stop visiting the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and commemorating his Arbaeen even in light of the difficult security situation during the control of the terrorist ISIS over several Iraqi cities”.

The website compared the situation of the Shias during the era of the annihilated Baathist rule and the present time, stressing that the Shias, “were deprived of practicing their religious rituals and visiting the holy shrines with great difficulty and with continuous security monitoring to the extent that every pilgrim was monitored by security racists,” as it was reported from the British pilgrim (Yasmine), who made the first visit to the holy shrines during the nineties of the last century.

This media resonance comes at a time when the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence, the Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, in all his speeches, statements and words, affirms the slogan (Imam Hussein – peace be upon him – unites us), as a slogan that unites all true human demands, foremost of which is justice, freedom and rejection of injustice, for which the Master of the Martyrs (peace be upon him) sacrificed everything he had.
