“The Syrian armed forces units were able to maintain their positions during repelling the attacks. About 50 gunmen were killed and seven SUVs equipped with heavy and booby-trapped machine guns were destroyed,” Uri Borenkov, head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria, told a news conference.
He added, “24 Syrian military personnel were killed and 24 others were wounded during the past day in Latakia, Aleppo, Idlib and Hama.”
