The attack killed at least 89 soldiers, according to a statement reported by the site Intelligence Group, which tracks militant groups’ websites.
The organization’s West Africa state said in a statement that its fighters had killed 89 soldiers and wounded an unspecified number in a raid last Thursday on the base in the town of Chinagdarar, near the Mali border.
