12 Taliban terrorists killed in eastern Afghanistan

According to Afghan security sources, eight Taliban elements were killed after Afghan army fighter planes targeted a hideout of the movement in the “Khojiani” district of Nangarhar Province.

The sources indicated that there were no civilian casualties.

Meanwhile, four Taliban militants and a police officer were killed in clashes outside Kunduz province, in northern Afghanistan.

A spokesman for the province said that armed clashes erupted after a group of Taliban forces stormed a security checkpoint in the “Angur Bagh” area, and the police returned fire, killing four attackers and forcing others to flee.

He pointed out that a police officer who was working as a commander at the checkpoint was also killed and another wounded during the clashes.
