 The Hmeimim-based Russian Coordination Center in Syria, affiliated with the Russian Ministry of Defense, has announced the death of six Syrian soldiers and the injury of 13 others by a suicide bombing targeting them in the countryside of Idlib Governorate, northwestern Syria. 

 “A group from the Organization for the Liberation of the Levant, which includes about 100 armed men, at 12:40 on December 21, attempted to penetrate the defenses of the Syrian forces towards the village of Karatin al-Kabir, in Idlib Governorate,” said the director of the Hmeimim Center, Major-General Yuri Borenkov. 

 He added, that the Syrian army repelled the attack with artillery fire, and caused great losses among the militants.
