The Human Rights Office said that violence in the past months in Rakhine has driven about 20,000 Muslims to flee.

Since August 2017, about 740,000 Rohingya have taken refuge in Bangladesh, to escape violations by the army and Buddhist armed groups against them, which United Nations investigators have described as genocide.
