The Global Terrorism Index 2019 has revealed that the terrorist attacks carried out by the Taliban in 2018 were more lethal than any attacks by other organizations around the world, including ISIS.

The report showed that the Taliban claimed more lives than ISIS did last year, although the number of deaths from terrorist operations declined in 2018.

The report noted that at least 71 countries recorded the death of one person due to terrorist operations in 2018, and Afghanistan topped the list of countries with more than 7,000 cases of terrorism deaths.

The report pointed out that ISIS was responsible for 1328 deaths in 2018, which is a significant decline from the figures recorded by the organization the previous year, highlighting that this year is the first year in which ISIS is not on the list of the most deadly terrorist organizations since 2014.
