The Ahlulbayt Association, affiliated with the Shirazi Religious Authority in Niamey, Niger, commemorated the martyrdom of Abu Abdullah al-Hussein, peace be upon him.
Since the first day of Muharram, the Association held mourning ceremonies, which were attended by a group of followers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in the Husseiniyah of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra, peace be upon her.
The mourning ceremonies included lectures in which the painful tragedy of al-Taff was recalled.
Many Muslim and non-Muslim countries witnessed the establishment of Ashura commemoration ceremonies in memory of the martyrdom of the grandson of the Noble Prophet, Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
