Taliban attack in Afghanistan claims 15 lives
An official of the Ghor Provincial Council announced on Saturday that as many as 15 members of public uprising forces and civilians were killed by a group of Taliban terrorists in Ghor, Western Afghanistan on Friday night.

The clash erupted after a group of Taliban terrorists attacked some security outposts in Poshta Noor village in Dawlatyar district of Ghor, said Hamidullah Motahid, member of Ghor Provincial Council.
A tribal elder named Lal Bahadur Frotan and two others were injured in the attack.
In the past several years, government forces, Taliban and other terror outfits have been involved in armed confrontations, even as peace efforts are underway to end the nearly-two decades-long civil war in Afghanistan.
The Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) regularly conducts joint offensive operations to combat terrorism across the country.
