The United Nations stresses the need to confront racism against Muslims

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, stressed the need to work to combat racism and intolerance against Muslims and minorities in the world.
Guterres tweeted on his official Twitter account: “When we allow the denigration of any of us, we set a precedent for the demonization of all of us. We must step up the fight against racism, anti-Semitism, anti-Muslim bigotry, violence against minority Christian communities, homophobia, xenophobia, misogyny & all forms of hate.”
The Secretary-General of the United Nations indicated that the Coronavirus has caused a human rights crisis, as well as an increase in violence and extremism in the world, stressing that the United Nations will follow its path and will not deviate from its commitment to combating racism and discrimination.
