According to media, the Grand Mosque of the capital city hosted the Quranic event from the beginning of the holy month.
A total of 67 girls and 109 boys from 27 elementary schools competed on memorization and recitation of 5, 10, 15 and 30 Juzes (parts) of the Quran.
The main objective of the competition was to encourage the students to learn Quran reading and memorize the Divine verses.
The competition concluded on the 9th of the holy month of Ramadan.
