The suspected Boko haram bombers attacked a crowded Fish Market (KasuwanKifi) in SabonGari area of Konduga township town at 9pm and detonated IEDs, killing 18 civiliansmostly children and injuring 70 people. Three suicide bombers also died instantly during the attack.
“It happened at TashanKifi, the female bombers staged themselves in three different locations and detonated their IEDs randomly, killing 18 people mostly children and women. We have evacuated 70 people with serious injuries to Maiduguri but we left many with light injuries at Konduga Specialist Hospital last night,” CJTF said.
Source at the State Specialist Hospital told Saharareporters that 60 wounded persons were received last nights from Konduga blasts.
