On Monday, Indonesian police announced the arrest of 14 citizens that were reportedly attempting to travel to Syria in order to partake in the five year long conflict.
According to al-Jabhah News, the 14 citizens were arrested in Jakarta for allegedly being members of the so-called Islamic State (ISIS).
Among the 14 citizens apprehended by the Indonesian security forces, a number of them were reportedly children accompanying their fathers to Syria.
The identities of the suspects have been withheld by the Indonesian security forces because they are still under investigation.
There have been no details released regarding their intentions for traveling to Syria – the Indonesian security forces could not confirm whether or not they were going to join the terrorist group’s ranks.
