said the country has plans to publish the Quran’s translations in 180 languages

A Turkish official with Religious Affairs Department (Diyanet) said the country has plans to publish the Quran’s translations in 180 languages.

MazharBilgin hopes that translation and publication of the Quran in 180 languages spoken around the world will be done in the near future, al-Quds al-Arabi daily reported.

He noted that the Quran’s renderings into English, French, Russian, Spanish, Kyrgyz, Bulgarian, Kazakh, and Bosnian have already been completed and that they are being printed by the department.

In February, Yıldıray Kaplan, another Diyanet official, said, “We do aim to translate and gradually publish the Holy Quran in all the languages spoken in the world.”

The copies in different languages will be sent to countries where these languages are spoken. Anyone who wants to read the Muslim Holy Book will also have access to a digital translation, according to Diyanet.
