US Muslims hope new billboards reclaim Islam’s message

Dozens of billboards with Muslim themes are sprouting in the United States, proclaiming what organizers say is the true message of Islam and its prophet, Muhammad, peace be upon him and his progeny, which is about peace and justice, not extremism.
More than 100 billboards that feature statements such as: “Muhammad, peace be upon him and his progeny, believed in peace, social justice and women’s rights were put up.  A website and a phone number were also listed so that people can call for any inquiries.
