London has launched the “Islamic Technology Festival,” an international event aimed at redefining innovation through ethical and spiritual values. The festival, which brought together more than 1,500 experts from 27 countries, promotes the idea that scientific and technological progress can align with human-centered principles rather than consumer-driven trends.

Held under the theme “Technology in the Service of Humanity,” the festival showcased projects designed to address the needs of marginalized communities and promote social justice. Participants included start-ups from across the Muslim world presenting smart tools tailored to cultural and religious sensitivities. Workshops also explored issues such as artificial intelligence ethics and responsible innovation in the face of rapid technological change.

The event featured contributions from Palestinian initiatives, highlighting technological creativity emerging from Gaza despite the ongoing blockade. Organizers said these examples demonstrate the resilience of young innovators even in crisis conditions.

According to festival leaders, the purpose is not only to highlight Muslim contributions in the tech sector but also to foster a global dialogue on rebalancing technology. The vision, they stressed, is to place human dignity and well-being at the center of innovation, ensuring that technological progress serves people as an end rather than a means.
