Meta Reports 20 Million Daily User Decline Amid Internet Disruptions and International Restrictions
——————————-
In its latest financial report, Meta announced a significant drop in daily active users across its platforms.
This trend, coupled with revenue growth, has raised concerns in financial markets.
According to Deutsche Welle Persian, Meta reported a decrease of about 20 million daily active users on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger, attributing this decline to internet disruptions and access restrictions in several countries, including Iran.
The company also mentioned that it continues to make heavy investments in artificial intelligence.
Meanwhile, Radio Farda reported that despite this decline, Meta still has more than 3.56 billion daily active users, with its first-quarter revenue growing by 33% to over $56 billion.
However, the drop in the company’s stock value following the report highlights investor concerns about rising infrastructure costs, particularly in the AI sector.
