Pope Leo XIV Calls on Catholic Church to ‘respond to’ AI

Pope Leo XIV called on the Catholic Church to actively engage with the challenges and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence (AI) during his first official address to the College of Cardinals, Anadolu Agency reported citing Vatican News.

He emphasized the need to address new industrial revolution and the rise of artificial intelligence.

The Vatican announced on Tuesday that American Cardinal Robert Prevost was elected as the new pope, taking the name Leo XIV. He is the first pontiff born in the United States in the history of the Catholic Church.
