According to the site, a group of scientists at the Medical Research Center of the Institute of Medical and Biological Studies managed to make a conjugated subunit vaccine based on the genetic sequence data for S protein taken from the membrane of the coronavirus, which is bound to the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) in human cell membranes .
The effectiveness and safety of the vaccine was verified through animal testing, and clinical trials in humans began in early July.
“Given that there are no patients with Covid-19 in North Korea, a search is under way for a third stage of clinical trials.
