Scientists Warn of Potentially Strong Solar Flares in Coming Days
…………….

Scientists from the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Russian Academy of Sciences have warned of the likelihood of powerful solar flares in the coming days, possibly the strongest observed since the start of summer, media outlets reported.

According to a recent statement, a dense cluster of sunspots remains active in the sun’s southern hemisphere. As the sun rotates, this region is gradually shifting into a position where its activity could directly impact Earth. Over the past 24 hours, researchers recorded 20 solar flares, including five of the more intense “M” class.

The laboratory noted that the sun is releasing excess energy through large-scale explosions, increasing the chances of highly disruptive “X” class flares. While Earth’s magnetic field remains stable, it may be affected if such flares occur. Solar flares can trigger magnetic storms capable of disrupting power grids, communication systems, GPS signals, and even wildlife navigation.
