Stratcom Summit ’24 Kicks Off in Istanbul
The 4th International Strategic Communication Forum (Stratcom Summit ’24) commenced in Istanbul on Friday, organized by Türkiye’s Communications Directorate, Anadolu Agency reported. This year’s theme, “AI in Communication: Trends, Traps, and Transitions,” highlights the growing role of artificial intelligence in media and communication.
During the opening, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun emphasized the increasing use of AI in big data analysis, user experience measurement, and content creation, noting that users are becoming more involved in the communication process through AI models and agents.
He pointed out the rising prevalence of synthetic content online, which contributes to the creation of synthetic identities and media.
The summit features 64 experts from various sectors across 30 countries, with eight panels, four keynote speeches, and six one-on-one sessions. It is expected to attract over 3,000 participants, including academics, media professionals, and international guests, fostering discussions on the future of communication in the age of AI.
