Historical Tabut-e-Ghalim Procession Held in Lucknow on 19th Ramadan, Commemorating the Morning of the Strike

The historical procession of the Tabut-e-Ghalim was held this year as well, on the morning of the 19th of Ramadan, just like every year.
After the Fajr prayer was offered in congregation at the Masjid-e-Kufa, a sermon was delivered by Maulana Syed Ali Muqti Zaidi, in which he recounted the hardships of the morning of the strike. As soon as the sorrows were recounted, the voices of thousands of mourners rose in weeping and wailing, and the atmosphere turned somber. At the conclusion of the mourning assembly, cries of “Ya Ali Mola, Haider Mola” and “Oh Ali has been slain, the lion of God has been slain” echoed, and the Tabut-e-Ghalim was brought out. Thousands of mourners, dressed in black, including children, the elderly, youth, men, and women, participated.

This mourning procession made its way along the designated routes and reached near the Azakhana of Hakim Taqi Zaidi, the late. There, the Tabut was handed over to the attendants of Hazrat Syeda, and Maulana Syed Hasan Muqti Maitham Zaidi delivered a speech. Following this, the mourning societies engaged in lamentation and chest-beating.
In addition to the city of Azakhana Lucknow, a large number of believers from the surrounding areas participated in this procession.
It is noteworthy that the Nawabs and kings of Lucknow had constructed replicas of the original holy shrines in Iran and Iraq for believers who could not reach those places. This was done so that the people could visit these replicas for solace. For example, there is a replica of the shrine of Amir al-Mu’minin, peace be upon him, located in Najaf Ashraf, Iraq, in the Imam Barah Shah Najaf. Similarly, there are replicas of the shrines of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in Karbala, such as Karbala Diyanat al-Dawlah and Karbala Nasir al-Din Haidar, which remind people of the original shrine of Imam Hussein in Karbala, Iraq. The replica of the shrine of Imam Ali Raza, peace be upon him, is located in Mashhad Muqaddas, and the replica of the shrine of Kadhimayn, of Imam Musa Kadhim and Imam Muhammad Taqi, peace be upon them, is also present. The cave of Karbala is a replica of Samarra, Iraq.

Additionally, Nawab Rafiq al-Dawlah Bahadur commissioned the construction of a mosque in Lucknow, modeled after the Grand Mosque of Kufa, Iraq, between 1837 and 1842, which resembles the mosque in Kufa, Iraq. Here, the shrines of the envoy of Hussein, Hazrat Muslim ibn Aqeel, his supporter Hazrat Hani ibn Urwah, and Hazrat Mukhtar, may Allah be pleased with him, are also represented. This mosque also contains replicas of various significant sites.
Hakim Syed Muhammad Taqi Zaidi, may he rest in peace, established the mourning assembly immediately after the Fajr prayer on the 19th of Ramadan, and this tradition has continued from ancient times to the present day.
