Muslim World Mourns Sorrowful Demise Anniversary of Sayyida Khadija al-Kubra, Mother of Believers

The Muslim world mourns the demise of Sayyida Khadija al-Kubra (peace be upon her), the first wife of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his pure family), on the 10th of Ramadan.
Sayyida Khadija (peace be upon her) is remembered as the “mother of the believers” and “unwavering supporter of the Prophet.”
She was the first to convert to Islam among women, dedicating her wealth to the expansion of the faith. The Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure family) praised her as the best of women on multiple occasions, comparable to none. Titles attributed to her include “the mother of the pure Imams,” “the first of the believing women,” and “the protector of the religion of Allah.”
Sayyida Khadija (peace be upon her) is buried in al-Ma’lat Cemetery in Mecca. Her legacy of faith, sacrifice, and devotion continues to inspire Muslims worldwide.
