Shia Rights Watch warns off escalating hatred against Shia minority in Sudan

Shia Rights Watch Organization expressed its deep concerns over the critical situation that Shia minority in Sudan is experiencing especially after being noticeably targeted financially and morally during the past few days.

 

SRW representatives in Sudan said that many Shia people have been harassed due to their doctrinal background, adding that this will pave the way to targeted attacks against Shia civilians by extremist groups.

They pointed out that a Shia civilian was severely beaten in one of the mosques in the capital Khartoum for sectarian reasons which spread fear and panic amongst the Shia minority in the African country.
