Devotees of Ahlul-Bayt launch 14 Shiite satellite channels in past year
Many Shia satellite channels have been launched over the past year with the aim of propagating the knowledge and teachings of the pure Ahlul-Bayt, peace be upon them.
In addition to creating happiness and joy among the followers of Ahl al-Bayt, this move has generated solidarity and unity among Shiites in different countries of the world and created numerous opportunities for reviving and serving the cause of Ahlul-Bayt.

The supreme religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadiq al-Shirazi, and before him, his honorable brother, the late Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad al-Hosseini al-Shirazi, may God bless his soul, always emphasized the importance of media activity and the need for the attentive efforts of Shiites and followers of Ahlul-Bayt, peace be upon them, towards the propagation of religious sciences and teachings through satellite channels.
Therefore, in various meetings and speeches, his Eminence and his honorable brother have invited Shiites to launch as many Shiite satellite channels as possible.
Nearly two decades ago, a group of devotees and emulators of Grand Ayatullah Shirazi launched “Salam TV” as the first Persian-language Shia satellite network and “Al-Anwar TV” as the first Arabic-language Shia satellite channel. Then, Imam Hussain Media Group was established for the same purpose.
Fifteen years ago, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadiq al-Hosseini al-Shirazi advised some young Shiites interested and active in the field of media to establish a satellite channel named after Imam al-Hussein as soon as possible to uphold the legacy of Ahlul-Bayt and the Hosseini rituals.
This recommendation was realized through continuous efforts and unwavering diligence of the founding team of youths. The media group commenced broadcasting its programs in Farsi on the third of Sha’ban 1430 AH, and then expanded the channels of the media group, broadcasting in Arabic, English, Urdu and Turkish plus a live-streaming channel and a dedicated news agency, ShaiWaves.
The satellite channels that were recently launched by the Shiites, include: Al-Wa’y Al-Shirazi, and two satellite channels of European Shiites and Mahdawiyyoun. They began broadcasting to mark the auspicious birth anniversary of the savior of the human world, Imam Sahib al-Asr wa Al-Zaman, may Allah hasten his reappearance.

“Al Bahrani” satellite network
“Al Kuwaitawi” satellite network,
“Al Hijaz” satellite network

“Al Diwaniyah” satellite channel
“Al kout” satellite network
“Zhi Qar” satellite network
It should be mentioned that all these satellite channels were launched thanks to the efforts of the emulators of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadegh al-Shirazi.
