The Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, delivered an important pre-Ramadan speech, in which he emphasized that the world today is afflicted with problems because it turned away from the principles of Imam Ali, peace be upon him. 

His Eminence said, “As we approach the holy month of Ramadan, the world is afflicted by the coronavirus pandemic. So how can we survive this affliction? Prophet Yunus prayed to the Almighty, and the Almighty answered his prayers, but others who did not pray, perished.”

The Grand Ayatollah added that we all have to defend the teachings of the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him. As during his blessed time, there didn’t exist a single political murder, however today, many people are killed for political reasons. Likewise, there didn’t exist a single political prisoner.

He concluded by reminding everyone to never neglect praying to the Almighty, especially during the upcoming holy month. 

The Grand Ayatollah prayed to the Almighty to lift this pandemic from this world.
