As part of its service programs and ongoing humanitarian assistance, the Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development, affiliated to the office of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq Al-Husseini Al-Shirazi, distributed 60 tons of coal to 300 poor families in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif in Afghanistan.
This humanitarian activity carried out in cooperation with the IHC and the office of the Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi.
Abdul Sahib Al-Kishwan, Director of the Foundation, explained that although based in holy Karbala, yet the Foundation operates in light of the directives and commandments of the Grand Ayatollah Al-Shirazi, who repeatedly emphasizes maintaining contact with the families of needy believers, especially orphans, in various countries and cities.
It is noteworthy that the Foundation had previously distributed coal to hundreds of families in a number of cities in Afghanistan, in wake of the cold weather and the difficulty to find fuel.
