Grand Ayatollah Shirazi stresses that Muslim rulers should implement justice and equality and not be a copy of the dark rulers
The Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq Al-Husseini Al-Shirazi, renewed his emphasis on Muslim rulers to observe people’s rights and apply justice and equality between them.
In a statement received by Shia Waves News Agency, today, the Supreme Religious Authority’s office conveyed His Eminence’s commandments in this regard.
His Eminence, the Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, said: “One of the obligatory and certain rights in Islam for rulers is to do justice to the people and not be like those who preceded them from the Umayyad family and the Abbasid family, who persecuted the people.”
His Eminence pointed out that he means the rulers among the Muslims and not others, and added, “How many of these rulers did justice and did they fulfill their duties towards the Muslims?”
The Grand Ayatollah also stressed the importance of enjoining good and forbidding evil against the practices of ruling regimes in Islamic countries.
The Grand Ayatollah Shirazi pointed out the greatness of performing this duty, which is the responsibility of everyone, pointing out that “the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) were killed and poisoned by their enemies, all for the sake of enjoining good and forbidding evil for the tyrannical rulers.”
