Grand Ayatollah Shirazi highlights the extent of the catastrophe of the al-Baqi Cemetery demolition and calls for its reconstruction

The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, is calling for the reconstruction of the graves of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in al-Baqi Cemetery, as it is considered a sufficient duty upon all Muslims, stressing that the revival of this catastrophe is of the greatest rituals of the Almighty.
His Eminence said with tears, “All Muslims should work towards the reconstruction of the destroyed graves and shrines.”
He explained that “the revival of this anniversary is one of the holy rituals of the Almighty that are a sufficient duty upon all Muslims.”
The Grand Ayatollah emphasized that reconstructing the holy shrines and building domes and minarets above them is indeed a sufficient duty upon all Muslims.
