The Eminent Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Sadiq Husseini al-Rohani, one of the religious authorities in the holy city of Qom, has released a statement on Charlie Hebdo’s blasphemous cartoon.

The statement says that a phenomenon has been recently spread in the western countries in which they insult sanctities of other religions which reflect the ignorance in countries that always claimed to be advanced and civilized ones.

The statement adds that such acts are strongly condemned not only by Muslims but also by anyone having a little knowledge about the holy Prophet and the principles he had established.

The statement says that such people reflect the image of the Holy Prophet depending on books written by those who claim to be Muslims.

It’s noteworthy that the French magazine has repeatedly provoked Muslim anger by publishing cartoons of the Prophet.
