Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Highlights Spiritual Status of Arba’een Pilgrims
———————————————
Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi has emphasized the distinguished spiritual status of those who visit Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), particularly the pilgrims participating in the Arba’een pilgrimage, describing them as recipients of divine honor and the attention of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them).
In a statement, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said that visitors to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) on different occasions, especially during Arba’een, hold a position of great sanctity due to their faith, devotion, and commitment to the message and values of Imam Hussein’s uprising.
He described the pilgrims as “visitors of God Almighty,” saying that their journey to Karbala represents an expression of sincere belief and brings spiritual joy to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), and the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them).
The remarks come as millions of pilgrims from Iraq and around the world continue their journey to the holy city of Karbala to commemorate Arba’een, one of the largest annual religious gatherings globally.
