Syrian Druze Leader Calls for International Intervention in Sweida
—————————–
The leader of Syria’s Druze community, Hamoud Al-Hanawi, has sharply criticized the Syrian government and called for immediate international intervention to end the siege of the Druze-majority province of Sweida.

According to Shia Waves Persian, Al-Hanawi has urged countries and humanitarian organizations to provide humanitarian aid and apply political pressure to lift the siege.

The province of Sweida has faced a severe economic crisis, movement restrictions, and a critical shortage of food and medicine in recent years. Al-Hanawi warned that the continuation of these conditions could lead to a humanitarian catastrophe and called for widespread solidarity to save the region’s residents.
