Syria to assist in locating missing Americans

Syria’s new government has agreed to assist the United States in locating and returning Americans who went missing in the conflict-ridden country, Arab News reported on Sunday.

“The new Syrian authorities have committed to helping the US find and repatriate American citizens or their remains. The families of Austin Tice, Majd Kamalmaz, and Kayla Mueller deserve closure,” stated Tom Barrack, the US special envoy for Syria, on X.
