Saudi authorities arrested 22,147 individuals in one week for breaching residency, labor, and border security laws, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Of the total, 13,835 were detained for violating residency regulations, 4,772 for attempting illegal border crossings, and 3,540 for labor law infractions. Among those caught entering the Kingdom illegally, 62% were Ethiopian nationals, 36% Yemeni, and the remainder from other countries.

Additionally, 34 people were intercepted while trying to exit the country illegally, and 20 were held for facilitating the transport or shelter of violators. The Ministry of Interior warned that aiding illegal entry could result in up to 15 years in prison, fines reaching SR1 million ($267,000), and the confiscation of vehicles and property.
