Pakistani security forces killed several militants during an ongoing operation in the Darra Adamkhel area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to Pakistani media reports.

Dawn reported that eight militants were killed on the second day of the operation, raising the total number of militants killed to 13. Security sources said two Afghan nationals were among those killed and identified them as members of the banned Tariq Gidar group, an affiliate of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan.

The operation was launched after intelligence reports about the presence of militants in the area. Pakistani security officials said the operation in Darra Adamkhel was continuing.
