The Baloch Liberation Army has claimed responsibility for an attack on a train carrying Pakistani army personnel in the city of Quetta.
The separatist militant group said the operation took place yesterday on a railway route leading to the train station, near a military area. The incident has once again drawn attention to the security situation in Balochistan.
In a statement released on Sunday, May 24, the group said Pakistani army forces were the target of the attack.
According to media reports, 82 Pakistani army personnel were killed in the incident, while details about the number of wounded are still being reviewed.

A report published by the newspaper Dawn also said the attack occurred along the route of a military train and that the Baloch Liberation Army had claimed responsibility.
