Families of the Air India crash victims expressed dissatisfaction with the preliminary investigation report, which revealed that both fuel switches were cut off immediately after takeoff, causing engine fuel supply to stop, The Guardian reported. The cockpit voice recorder captured confusion between pilots about who cut the switches. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner crashed near Ahmedabad airport on 12 June, killing 241 onboard and 19 on the ground.

Relatives of the victims have called for greater transparency, honesty, and accountability, emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation to prevent future accidents. A lawyer representing some families described the findings as deeply concerning.

The report found no evidence of bird strikes, confirmed crew sobriety, and identified components for further examination. The UK transport secretary expressed confidence in the investigation and offered support, with the US National Transportation Safety Board also involved. Air India pledged full cooperation with authorities.
