Eleven militants were killed and seven injured during a military operation in Sararogha, South Waziristan, on Tuesday, according to the Pakistani Army. Two soldiers also died in the clash. The militants were identified as members of “Fitna al-Khawarij,” a term used by Pakistan for Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Authorities allege Indian support for these groups, a claim denied by India. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa data shows 745 casualties from terrorist attacks in 2025 alone. Despite ongoing operations, South Waziristan remains highly unstable. Experts stress the need for community-level support to address long-term security and development challenges.
