Pakistan raises alarm over possible Indian strike within next 24-36 hours, citing ‘credible intelligence’

Pakistan warned on Wednesday that India might launch a military strike within the next 24 to 36 hours amid rising tensions following a deadly attack last week in Indian-administered Kashmir, Anadolu Agency reported. Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated on X that Islamabad has “credible intelligence” indicating that New Delhi plans military action based on “baseless and fabricated allegations” regarding the April 22 attack in Pahalgam, which killed 26 people.
He emphasized that Pakistan will respond firmly and decisively to any such military aggression and called on the international community to recognize that India would bear full responsibility for any escalation and its consequences.

India claimed the attack had “cross-border” connections, while Pakistan denied involvement, saying India has failed to provide a “shred of evidence” for its “baseless” accusations” about last week’s deadly attack in Indian-administered Kashmir.
In response to the attack, India suspended the long-standing Indus Waters Treaty, a move strongly condemned by Pakistan. Additionally, both countries have closed border crossings and further downgraded diplomatic relations.
