MWM Forms Task Force to Address Humanitarian Crisis in Parachinar

The Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM) has announced the formation of a “Joint Task Force” to tackle the severe humanitarian crisis in Parachinar, where road closures have led to shortages of food, medicine, and fuel during Ramadan, Shiite News reported. Millions are struggling for basic necessities as both provincial and federal governments appear indifferent to the situation.
An important meeting was held at MWM’s central office, chaired by Allama Syed Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi. Participants included Central General Secretary Syed Nasir Abbas Shirazi and other key leaders, who discussed strategies for restoring basic rights and lifting road blockades.
The meeting also addressed the unjust arrest of Parachinar Mayor Muzammil Hussain, condemning it as an “abuse of power.” MWM emphasized the need for legal and administrative actions for his release, and announced that top lawyers have been engaged to assist in the matter. The task force aims to mobilize support and resolve ongoing issues facing the people of Parachinar.
