Pakistan: Tragic Bus Accident Near Quetta Claims Seven Lives

A tragic bus accident in Pakistan near Quetta’s Brewery Roads Bypass on Thursday resulted in the deaths of seven people and injuries to 19 others, Dawn reported yesterday.

According to health department spokesperson Dr. Waseem Baig, among the deceased were three children and a woman. Saddar Superintendent of Police Shaukat Mohmand reported that the bus, transporting wedding attendees from Khilji Colony Bypass to Baleli, veered off the road after a tire burst, plunging into a ravine.

The victims were initially given first aid at the scene before being transported to Bolan Medical Complex.

In response, provincial health minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar declared a state of emergency in hospitals, ensuring that the injured received prompt medical care, with those in critical condition transferred to Combined Military Hospital Quetta.
